Regulator's Statement on “Save Our Railways” Allegations

John Swift QC, the Rail Regulator, said today: "I have not approved any withdrawal of through ticketing from any station. I will not approve any major change in ticket retailing facilities unless it represents an improvement in the service offered to passengers.

"I have asked ScotRail for full details of the position at the nine stations mentioned in the Save our Railways press notice. Once I have that information I will consider the next steps."
