I welcome the news that the RMT have now seen sense and accepted
London Underground's offer and that the dispute is settled. It is a
pity that passenger's have been inconvenienced and L.U.L's business
has suffered as a result of earlier strikes.I hope that this three
year deal, which includes a provision amounting to a commitment to go
to arbitration before strike action is taken, will mean that similar
disputes can be avoided in future.
