London Transport and John Menzies have signed a network wide agreement to open more than 70 retail outlets at Underground stations over the next five years.
"This high profile deal is the largest yet achieved with a retailer and is part of an ongoing programme to improve services for the high volumes of passengers using the Underground," said Andrew Shackel of LT Property.
John Menzies, a FTSE 250 company and market leader, joins other key retailers such as Costa Coffee, Thomas Cook and A Piece of Cake, as part of LT Property’s strategy to improve the retail environment on stations.
"Our policy is to enhance the physical fabric of the retail units, the quality of retailers for our customers; bringing on smaller companies and attracting brand identifiable retailers to the network," said Andrew.
