ATOC's response to the Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Committee's report into railway safety
date 8 December 1998 source ATOC type Press release
Train operators welcome the serious and constructive report by the Select Committee into railway safety. In particular, they welcome recognition that a comparison of the privatised network with the last three years of the nationalised railway system "shows that the gradual reduction in most types of incident has been maintained". Train operators will study the recommendations and take forward those proposals relevant to them.
