The Go-Ahead Group ('Go-Ahead') notes the award of the
Chiltern franchise to M40 trains. The company extends its
congratulations to the winning team, who are held in high
regard throughout the industry. Go-Ahead believes that its
own bid included a number of imaginative proposals and was
delighted to have reached the final stage of the process.

Go-Ahead, in conjunction with its partner VIA-GTI controlled
by SNCF, continues to make progress in negotiations with the
shadow Strategic Rail Authority over the possible operation of
the larger South Central franchise (which is expected to last
for 20 years) where it is one of the two shortlisted bidders.
Go-Ahead also looks forward to developing further its
Thameslink and Thames Trains franchises.
