Temporary changes to Hull Trains services following the rail accident at Hatfield
date 1 October 2000 source Hull Trains type Press release
Following Tuesday’s rail accident at Hatfield, there are a number of temporary changes to the published timetable for Hull Trains services between Hull and London Kings Cross.
Until further notice, Hull Trains services between Hull and London will terminate / commence at Peterborough and not London Kings Cross. Customers are advised to change trains and travel between Peterborough and London Kings Cross (and vice-versa) by GNER services. Hull Trains tickets will be valid on GNER services while these alternative arrangements are in place.
Hull Trains will be operating the following temporary service (Mondays – Fridays) until the line is restored in the Hatfield area:
The 10.36 London Kings Cross to Hull and 16.30 Hull to London Kings Cross services are both cancelled while the temporary service remains in place.
Similar arrangements will apply for Saturday services, but alternative timings have not yet been finalised.
Hull Trains apologises to passengers for the inconvenience caused by these alternative arrangements. More information on train times is available from National Rail Enquiries by calling 08457 48 49 50.
