The Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) said today that 22 passenger train operators will be running to pre-Hatfield timetables on Monday 15 January. The remaining six operators will be running to substantially improved revised timetables.
ATOC Director General, George Muir, said: "On Monday, First Great Eastern Railway and Anglia Railways will return to either normal or near normal timetables. GNER, WAGN Great Northern services, Silverlink County services, First Great Western West of England services and Virgin West Coast and Cross Country services will continue to run to revised timetables but many have been able to introduce significant improvements to journey times and service frequency.
"The timetable changes that have taken place last weekend and this weekend reflect Railtrack's track improvement programme which has resulted in the easing and removal of over 80 speed restrictions since Christmas. The overall picture is improving week by week. The vast majority of London commuting and regional train operators will be running normal winter timetables with minor alterations."

Train companies running revised timetables: GNER, Silverlink County, West Coast Trains, Cross Country Trains, First Great Western West of England services, WAGN Great Northern (services between Kings Cross and Peterborough).
