DISCOUNTS INCLUDE SAVER FARES REDUCED BY 25%

Hull Trains has announced details of an attractive package of discounted fares, reducing the price of travel between Hull, Selby and London for business and leisure travellers, who have not been travelling over recent months following Railtrack’s imposition of speed restrictions as a result of the Hatfield accident. Return fares between Hull and London start at just £25 return with these very special offers for a limited period only.

Hull Trains recently returned to a normal timetable with three direct services running between Hull and London on Mondays to Saturdays.

Hull Trains’ Saver fares between Hull and London have been reduced from £59.00 to only £44.00 return, and with Hull Trains there are no travel restrictions, meaning that journeys with Saver tickets can be made as early as 06.20 from Hull (GNER’s similar fare is £62.00 and travel is not permitted on their 07.00 departure with such a ticket).

In addition to the Saver and other fares reductions, Hull Trains is guaranteeing in February that the first 10 return tickets to London (purchased in advance) on each Hull Trains departure will cost just £25 each from Hull and Selby, and the next 20 return tickets will cost just £30 each (£29 from Selby). Other seats will then be available at the heavily discounted Saver fare of just £44 return (£39 from Selby).

For that very special treat, Hull Trains is offering a unique short break package with a fantastic value overnight stay in London. Customers can travel on the 12.09 or 16.30 departures from Hull on weekdays, or any train on Saturday, and return train travel and an overnight stay in a 4 star central London hotel with a full English breakfast, at the amazing all-in price of just £88 per person

The reduced fares will be available until 28 February 2001, via the Hull Trains telephone sales hotline on 01482 606388. The offers will be promoted through a special marketing campaign with the local media.

Commenting on the special offers, Jim Morgan, managing director Hull Trains said:

“With Hull Trains returning to a normal timetable, now is the ideal time to thank our existing customers who have stayed with us during the recent disruption, and to encourage even more people to travel with Hull Trains over the coming weeks and months with these bargain fares.”
