Hull Trains will be resuming a normal train service between Hull and London Kings Cross from Wednesday 14 March, following timetable changes that have been in place as a result of the tragic rail accident at Great Heck near Doncaster on 28 February.
Since Thursday 1 March, all Hull Trains services between Hull and London Kings Cross, and vice-versa, have been diverted via Goole while the recovery operation and track repairs on the East Coast Main Line have been taking place. This has meant that Hull Trains services have been unable to call at Selby.
However, with the East Coast Main Line due to fully reopen on Wednesday 14 March, Hull Trains are to resume a normal service between Hull and London Kings Cross (calling at Brough, Selby, Doncaster and Grantham in both directions) at the scheduled times:
Monday - Friday
06.20, 12.09 and 16.30 from Hull
08.33, 10.36 and 16.03 from London Kings Cross
Saturday
08.30, 15.05 and 17.22 from Hull
09.34, 13.34 and 19.04 from London Kings Cross
Sunday
13.22 from Hull; 13.50 from London Kings Cross
Hull Trains services are now almost back to the normal scheduled timetable following the speed restrictions imposed by Railtrack after the Hatfield accident.
Commenting on the resumption of Hull Trains services via the usual Selby route, Hull Trains’ managing director Jim Morgan said:
“I am pleased that we are able to resume our normal service from Wednesday 14 March and serve Selby again. The Hull Trains team has worked closely with industry colleagues at both Railtrack and GNER over the past two weeks to offer the best service possible while the East Coast Main Line has been temporarily closed.”
