The Association of Train Operating companies today welcomed the Strategic Rail Authority's announcement to allocate £150m for planning on two key routes which could significantly improve services for Londoners.

ATOC Director General, George Muir said: "The schemes should reduce congestion on existing lines, speed up journeys across central London and improve the range of journey opportunities to passengers."
