The Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) today announced its '15 months for 12' Railcard offer to give three extra months on all Railcards at no extra cost.

The offer runs from Sunday 20th May 2001 to Saturday 18th May 2002 and is available to anyone renewing or purchasing a Railcard.

The offer applies to all Railcards - Young Persons, Senior, Family, Network, Disabled Persons and HM Forces Railcards, and is worth up to £10 million in free months.

George Muir, Director General of ATOC said: "With train performance now nearing pre-Hatfield levels, the train companies feel the time is right to give something back to our two million Railcard holders to thank them for their patience during the recent disruption.

Railcards provide a third off most rail fares and prior to Hatfield, sales were growing at 8%pa. We believe this promotion will help to attract new Railcard holders and recover lost growth in Railcard sales."
