Some train guards (who are members of the RMT Union) have voted to take strike action on 25 June and 4 July.

This concerns a dispute regarding changes that have been made by Railway Safety to the Rail Industry Rule Book.

Talks between train operators (including Anglia Railways) and the RMT Union are continuing at national level with a view to resolving this dispute. It is hoped that the matter will be resolved without the RMT going ahead with their strike action on the two days mentioned.

Further updates will be provided as soon as possible. In the meantime, customers are advised to plan journeys as normal. In the event of strike action taking place, details will be provided of the level and frequency of train services that can be expected to run on 25 June and 4 July.
