Anglia Railways’ new London Crosslink service between Colchester or Chelmsford and Basingstoke commenced in 29 May 2000.
Avoiding the need to change in London, there are six trains a day (Mondays to Saturdays with fewer trains on Sundays) in each direction with a two hour frequency. The service calls at Stratford, Highbury & Islington, West Hampstead, Feltham (for Heathrow Airport), Staines, Woking, Farnborough and Basingstoke.
