Network Rail today confirmed that Janette Anderson has decided to move on from her position as Regional Director, Scotland. Mrs Anderson has been appointed Chief Executive of First Engineering and will become a member of the board of Peterhouse Group plc.
Mrs Anderson will leave the company at the end of May and will take up her new appointment on 1 June 2003. The process of sourcing a replacement has already started.
Network Rail’s Deputy Chief Executive, Iain Coucher, said: “We wish Janette well in her new job. She leaves Network Rail with all our good wishes and thanks and, although we are sad to see her go, it is good news that her knowledge and experience will be retained in the industry.
“Her new position at First Engineering will be invaluable in ensuring a smooth transition of our new maintenance programme that will change the face of rail maintenance contracting in the coming years.”
