Punctuality

Latest government figures show there was an increase in the number of Midland Mainline trains arriving on time at the end of last year. But that’s just the beginning. Punctuality over the past two months has been even better.

Our improved performance is the result of a dedicated programme of performance initiatives, including the introduction of a spare train for use as a back up to avoid cancellations if a fault occurs on another train. In addition, new station dispatch procedures are ensuring trains depart quickly and on time, and we’ve introduced final destination turnaround procedures that help to ensure trains are quickly prepared for their next journey.

And soon we’ll have completed the refurbishment of our High Speed Trains, not only making them more reliable, but more comfortable as well.

We’ll be introducing further initiatives to build on these improvements in the near future, so to keep updated on our progress make sure you visit midlandmainline.com regularly.
