Passengers travelling first class on Hull Trains can now look forward to a sumptuous choice of worldwide culinary delights from new menus introduced by On-Board Services Manager, Kate Beckett.
Hull Trains is offering passengers a selection of varied menus, which have been carefully assembled to ensure that all tastes are catered for. By working closely with local suppliers, Hull Trains guarantees that only the highest quality products and ingredients are used.
The new menus offer everything from healthy breakfasts, snacks and light meals to a mouth-watering selection of main dishes, including Italian and Thai options or more traditional dishes, like Sunday roast. Not only do passengers get to choose from a wide selection of main courses, but an assortment of desserts is also available.
As between 80 and 90 meals are served to first class passengers free of charge every day, it is paramount that Hull Trains rotates its menu every two weeks. This ensures that regular travellers always have a varied selection of hot and cold meals and snacks to choose from.
Having recently been awarded an Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene, Kate Beckett has welcomed the challenge of compiling the new menus and has enjoyed the positive feedback from existing Hull Trains passengers. She said: “It has been great to have had such a fantastic response to the new menus, I am really looking forward to welcoming current and new customers on to our trains to sample the new dishes.
“Customer service is a priority for Hull Trains and we see providing quality catering on board as an integral part of the service.”

Breakfast is served on board up to 11am. Choose from a selection of Fresh Fruit Salad, Danish Pastries and Muffins, croissants and Fruit Juice.

Choice One: Medley of King Prawns and Beef Tomatoes set upon Crispy Laves with a light Marie Rose Sauce -------------------------------------------------------------------- Cajun Chicken Wrap with Bistro Salad and drizzled with a Sweet Chilli Sauce
Choice Two: Selection of Roast Vegetables served with Savoury Rice and Fresh Baby Leaves -------------------------------------------------------------------- Goats Cheese dressed with Asparagus Spears, all placed upon a bed of Italian Leaves
Light Alternative: Ploughman's - consisting of Yorkshire Feta, Smoked Cheddar and Red Leicester Roulade. All served with a Celery and crackers
Dessert: All of the above will be served with a choice of desserts (excluding breakfast).
First Class and Standard Accommodation passengers can purchase a selection of hot food, sandwiches, snacks and drinks from the on-board buffet.
