Hull Trains is to offer its passengers a tantalising selection of sandwiches made by its new supplier, local firm Hungry Henry’s Catering Services, part of Harman’s On-Sit Services Ltd.

Local businesswoman Erika Harman runs Hungry Henry’s Catering Services, based in the East Riding village of Brough. Erika and the company have received several prestigious awards, including runner-up at the UK national final of the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards and, most recently, an award for outstanding business progress at the Yorkshire and The Humber regional final of the 2004 Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

The new sandwich range which includes, roast beef and red onion, tuna mayonnaise and sweetcorn, smoked ham and cheese baguettes and a selection of panninis, will ensure that passengers are offered a high quality product from a local supplier.

Hull Trains is proud to feature the name of Hull in its title and on its trains – they are the only train company in the UK to bear its city title. Hull Trains is continually committed to encouraging development within the local area and is delighted to team up with Hungry Henry’s Catering Services, as it is an opportunity for Hull Trains to not only strengthen its ties to local businesses but improve customer service through expanding its culinary range.

As part of its ongoing evaluation of customer service, Hull Trains has recently made a number of developments within its catering department. New menus for first class passengers were introduced in September and last month the company was praised by a leading rail journalist for the outstanding standard of its coffee.

Katie Beckett, Hull Trains On-Board Service Manager commented: “We are very pleased to announce that we are teaming up with Hungry Henry’s Catering Services to provide passengers with a mouth-watering variety of sandwiches.

We are continually striving to offer our passengers the highest possible quality and always look to local suppliers when possible, to do so."
