Hull Trains is encouraging people from the region to get behind our capital city, following the recent downturn in visitor numbers. After the events of July 7, The Mayor of London has called for visitors to return to the capital and Hull Trains has joined the growing support for this campaign.

Hull Trains has strong ties to London through its direct service, taking passengers travelling for business and pleasure regularly to and from the capital and this is why they are backing the Mayor’s campaign. There will be a series of around a hundred free events in London throughout September and the direct, convenient service of Hull Trains offers the perfect way to take advantage of this. With prices from as little as £29 return it has never been easier to take a break in London. Due to the success of similar promotions in recent years, Hull Trains is currently offering a family of four the chance to travel to London from as little as £89, making travel to London even more affordable.

Hull Trains has been promoting both London and Hull as tourist destinations over the summer and they aim to continue this throughout the traditionally quieter autumn months. To encourage passengers to see what Hull has to offer, they have introduced another Family Fare offer to Hull, which includes entry to one of Hull’s premier attractions, The Deep.

Mark Leving , Hull Trains Managing Director, commented: “Across the travel industry we have experienced a downturn in the number of people travelling to London, particularly for pleasure. We want to encourage people to return to the city, in conjunction with The Mayor of London’s campaign, and especially to take advantage of the great events that will be taking place throughout September.

"We also want people to consider Hull as a fantastic destination for a short break, especially with a family. The recently introduced Family Fare offer has already proven to be extremely popular and we are sure that after one visit, people will come back to Hull time and time again”
