London Underground Chief Operating Officer Mike Brown today apologised to customers following delays to their Tube journeys this morning:

"The severe delays many of you experienced this morning were due to a number of unrelated signal failures, security alerts and passenger incidents.

I know this made many journeys much longer than usual, and I am sorry for the disruption this caused you."
