Following a considerable period of consideration, Alliance is expecting a decision from the ORR by December 6th on its proposal to operate new services on the West Coast Main Line under the Great North Western Railway Company (GNWR) name.
Alliance was advised by Network Rail earlier this year ‘that there remain no significant hurdles to accepting the GNWR proposition’ – and is looking for a positive decision from the ORR so that constructive dialogue can continue with Network Rail to ensure the delivery of these important new services as soon as is reasonably practicable. Services are planned to begin during the timetable that starts in December 2016.
