Responding to the Chancellor's statement on regulated rail fares, including season tickets, Michael Roberts, director general of the Rail Delivery Group representing Network Rail and rail operators, said:
“The Chancellor's announcement is good news for commuters. We support the government’s decision to ensure a real terms freeze in next year's season tickets and other regulated fares.
"The rail industry will continue investing in more trains, faster services and better stations while getting more out of every pound spent."
