Porterbrook signs agreement for Class 387s

Porterbrook Leasing has signed an agreement with First Greater Western to supply a further 32 Class 387 vehicles. The additional rolling stock will join the 116 vehicles, currently in operation on the Thameslink route, which are due to be delivered to the train operator during 2016/17 for the Paddington to Reading and Paddington to Oxford routes.

These 110mph, dual voltage Bombardier Electrostar EMUs (Electric Multiple Units) will be configured as 4 car units and will be fitted with air conditioning, two by two seating and include the latest on board service information and facilities for people with disabilities.
